Description Provide engineering skills to create and operate a Network Infrastructure (NI), in order to support business processes plants and facilities in such a way as to meet the system requirements of performance, reliability, and project time constraints in the most cost effective manner. Provide the technical expertise to develop, modify, maintain and support such systems. Participate in the Network Infrastructure competency center to assure efficient execution of global standards and minimize total cost of ownership. Monitor solutions in place, and develop new solutions as they become available in order to increase service and reduce costs. The Network Infrastructure Service involves the consultation, conception, design, project planning, construction, adjustment, commissioning, acceptance, operations, maintenance, inspection and repair of copper and fiber-optic cabling technologies. Copper and fiber-optic cabling technologies as well as special arrangements of infrastructure of the in particular following kind are served: Stationary phones Documentation tools Cat. 5/6 cabling systems Fiber-optic cabling systems Telephone cabling systems Emergency power supply systems Air conditioning system Principal Accountabilities: Provide the continual security, support and optimization of Network Infrastructure components involved in a company wide use of such systems. Projects may include those with technical requirements that have no precedents within the corporation. Planning, coordination, assistance and documentation of Network Infrastructure and rollout scenarios based on the current corporate standards. Support and troubleshooting the existing Network Infrastructure environments. Test and evaluate new hard and software products inside the Network Infrastructure area. Develop and integrate tools for company Network Infrastructure management. Member of the global Network Infrastructure team. Have a full understanding of the User Helpdesk and Network Infrastructure processes, including incident handling, problem management, escalation procedures, and change management. Understand User Helpdesk and Network Infrastructure specific statistics and metrics. Remain up-to-date on new technologies and vendor innovations to reduce technology costs and increase efficiencies. Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment. Excellent customer service focus and analytical problem solving abilities. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication and presentation skills. Training and education of IT service units - global - regarding implementations of Network Infrastructure and related hard- and software products. Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. In-depth knowledge and experience with project management. Knowledge and experience in about cabling system. Knowledge about emergency power supply systems and air conditioning system. Strong engineering skills are mandatory
