Construction Safety Specialist- Develops, facilitates implementation, and administration of environmental, safety, and health protection processes at the project level to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policy. Plans and administers training programs in accident and fire prevention, and other employee safety procedures. Serves as a resource for line management to develop and administer a proactive accident and illness prevention program. Conducts comprehensive evaluations of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure regulatory compliance and that identified hazard remediation processes are utilized. Assists line management in the investigation of injuries and incidents, using analytical techniques to find root causes and initiate corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Prepares technical reports, maintains safety related documentation, and performs analysis of project accident and incident data for undesired trends and to recommend corrective actions. Assist in monitoring site contractors for compliance with contract ES&H specifications. Perform a broad range of assignments within the ES&H discipline Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or related field preferred. Minimum of 10 years construction safety experience at the project level required. Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and general knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910. Working knowledge of environmental regulations applicable to construction activities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential. Intermediate level computer skills on Microsoft Office software preferred. Ability to accurately appraise technical situations and recommend resolutions |
