Project Engineer- Works independently under limited supervision, receives occasional guidance on complex or unusual problems. Coordinates activities of the project engineering team related to the design, fabrication and testing of subsea systems including resolving design problems, modifying designs and scheduling of tests for efficient and timely delivery of the systems. Determine the requirements for equipment design reviews for specific projects. Prepares written reports on project status for review by management and makes presentations to customer and company representatives. Responsible for and assists in the documentation and coordination of equipment interfaces with suppliers. Usually provides guidance and work direction to junior staff.
1. Review engineering project designs for conformance with company standards and customer specifications
Evaluate design changes and actively participate in design review panels and keep project manager updated of all technical activities throughout the project. Monitors engineering progress and oversee land-testing procedures and is also involved in factory acceptance testing activities. Direct the integration of technical design and product fabrication by interfacing with manufacturing operations. the job specifications are as follows: Bachelor of Science in Engineering, 5-8 years experience in engineering, knowledge of project management methods and scheduling techniques, Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written, ability to work well under stress and time pressures. |
