Job Title Project Engineer

Description Project Engineer-The Project Engineer is responsible for maintaining excellence in developing, executing and controlling assigned projects to achieve site goals. Through effective application of engineering expertise, the individual will conduct analysis and investigations pertaining to construction of new facilities, and alteration or modification of existing facilities to optimize productive capability of the plant. Project recommendations are made taking into consideration such factors as cost, structure, maintainability, facility of production and availability of materials and equipment with emphasis on safety and optimum performance. The Project Engineer will have the following duties: Take a problem from conception, with supervision, applying all areas of engineering expertise to obtain a workable solution. Interface with Maintenance and Production to ascertain and identify operating and maintenance problems. Once the problem is recognized, conduct the engineering analysis and follow through with major and minor project recommendations. Coordinate between contractor and company to accomplish engineering projects in the smoothest and most efficient manner without causing production delays or upsets. Justification for capital expenditures. A BS Engineering (EE, ME, Chem E, prefer Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience and in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a self motivated and adaptive person capable of successfully handling a variety of Engineering assignments in addition to the traditional project engineering function. Thorough knowledge of and experience with computers, drafting experience with CAD, preferably AutoCAD.
