Process Engineer- Review design engineering drawings and ensure conformance to client documents, field philosophy, and applicable code and industry standard requirements. Ability to provide quality review on engineering calculations from other disciplines. Develop and write engineering scopes of work and manage project change requests. Prepare estimates for all project phases. Review and input on schedules for assigned projects. Understand and apply standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Duties include gathering and recording information for writing specifications and preparing technical reports. Report project performance using earned value terms. Evaluate vendor proposals to ensure compliance with project design specifications. Evaluate field problems and provide solutions. Must work closely with client on process engineering concepts. Ability to review data sheets, specifications, and design drawings from other disciplines to ensure compliance with process. Must have exceptional mathematical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and planning skills. Develop project completion documents. Senior engineers will perform duties as discipline leads and will supervise and mentor lower-level engineers.Must be able to travel as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience in all phases of petrochemical systems. Must perform computer simulations using Hysis and or Pro II. Experience developing and managing PIDs and providing quality control on discipline modifications. Experience generating process equipment specifications, line lists, and PSV audit files. Must be able to write standard operating procedure manuals and instruct field personnel on the process and specific details. Experience in completing SIL verification. Must have experience directing and coordinating other discipline work as it relates to process control. North Slope petroleum experience preferred. Mid Level: Three to ten years experience with three in the oil and gas industry. Professional engineer registration in the State of Alaska or the ability to register within one year is required. Senior Level: Minimum of ten years experience with five in the oil and gas industry. Education/Certifications/Licenses: B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or associated discipline. Professional engineer registration in the State of Alaska or the ability to register within one year is preferred. Project Management Institute (PMI) certification a plus |
